Harley Finkelstein, an entrepreneur, lawyer, and President of Shopify, embarked on his entrepreneurial journey by establishing his first company at 17 while a student at McGill University. He holds a law degree and an MBA from the University of Ottawa, where he co-founded the JD/MBA Student Society and the Canadian MBA Oath. Finkelstein contributes his insights as an Advisor to Felicis Ventures and was previously one of the "dragons" on CBC’s Next Gen Den.
His accomplishments include prestigious awards such as Canadian Angel Investor of the Year, Canada’s Top 40 Under 40, and Fortune’s 40 Under 40, alongside induction into the Order of Ottawa. Having played significant roles on the boards of C100 (2014-’17) and CBC (2017-’20), he currently serves on the board of Operation Hope, a non-profit providing financial literacy empowerment and economic education. He is also the visionary behind "Big Shot," a podcast project that preserves the narratives of exceptional Jewish entrepreneurs.
Lindsay Taub is a therapist, philanthropist, entrepreneur, mother, and the wife of Harley Finkelstein. Montreal born and raised, she is a McGill University psychology graduate and holds a Master’s in Counselling degree from the University of Ottawa. Lindsay has spent her career providing mental health support in private practice, specializing in child, youth, and family counselling. As a passionate advocate of mental health, she has extended that professional passion into her philanthropic and advocacy work, serving on the board of Ottawa Salus and working to end the stigma against mental health issues.
Deeply passionate about her community, Lindsay's philanthropic work encompasses the Jewish community by building the Finkelstein Chabad Jewish Centre in Ottawa with her husband Harley. She was also an entrepreneur and founder of the ice cream shop Sundae School in Ottawa. Together with Harley, she is an angel investor and passionate supporter of young entrepreneurs.
Lindsay is the mother to her two daughters Bayley and Zoe who she shares with Harley Finkelstein. They currently live in the beautiful city of Montreal.
